Car Service Schedule Checker

Choose the make, fuel, engine size and year to see the recommended service intervals in km — engine oil, timing belt or chain, brake fluid, gearbox oil, coolant and spark plugs. Then check whether the work was actually done.

Free · no signup · the engine size is in the handbook and usually on the back of the car

Where the figures come from

Each interval comes from the manufacturers' UK schedules, converted to kilometres, and carries a label saying how firm it is: manufacturer-published (with a link to the document), reported (desk research) or typical (the industry norm). Nothing here has been confirmed against your individual car. Driving a Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda or SEAT? Our VW Group service intervals guide has the native metric schedule and explains fixed versus flexible servicing.

Service schedule — FAQs

Why doesn't the checker take my registration?▾

There is no public Irish registration database we can look a car up in for free, so the checker works from the make, fuel, engine size and year instead. The engine size is in the handbook and usually on the back of the car. Where one engine size covers more than one engine, we show each of them.

Are these Irish service intervals?▾

They are the manufacturers' UK schedules converted to kilometres. Almost every car sold in Ireland is built to the same European specification and follows the same schedule, but the handbook for your car is the authority. For Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and SEAT we have written up the native metric schedule separately.

Does my car have a timing belt or a chain?▾

It depends on the engine, not the badge. Choose the engine size and the timing card tells you which drive that engine uses, the replacement interval where one is published, and whether it is an interference engine, where a failed belt wrecks the engine.

Is this data guaranteed?▾

No. Every line is labelled manufacturer-published, reported (desk research from published schedules, parts catalogues and trade sources) or typical (the industry norm where we hold nothing for that brand). None of it has been confirmed against your individual car.

How do I check whether a car was actually serviced on schedule?▾

Run a service history check on its VIN (€12.99). It retrieves the manufacturer's own dealer service records — the dates, distances and work done — so you can compare them with the schedule shown here. No records found means no charge.

Full service history check — €12.99

The manufacturer's own dealer records for one car, by VIN: the dates, the distance at every visit and the work done — so you can see whether it actually kept to the schedule above. No records found means no charge.
