Lexus RX tyre pressure

The tyre pressures Lexus prints in its handbook for each RX tyre size, by generation — RX Mk5 (2022 on), RX Mk4 (AL20) (2015–2022) and RX Mk3 (AL10) (2008–2016). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

What the handbooks don't say
  • The 2009 RX 450h launch handbook was not found on the manual site; the RX 450h rows come from the 2012 edition (S54).

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions

What tyre pressure should a Lexus RX have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Lexus lists, the normal-load pressure is 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the front and 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does a Lexus RX take?

Lexus fitted the RX with 235/60 R18, 235/65 R18, 235/55 R19, 235/60 R19, 235/55 R20 and 235/50 R21, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on a Lexus RX?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
