Opel tyre pressures

Opel Grandland tyre pressure

The tyre pressures Opel prints in its handbook for each Grandland tyre size, by generation — Grandland (second generation) (2024 on) and Grandland X / Grandland (first generation) (2017–2024). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

Notes from the handbooks
  • 225/55 R19 103V: Front and rear 'Vehicle up to 3 people' printed as 230/2.3 (29). The printed cell '230/2.3 (29)' is internally inconsistent (its kPa, bar and psi values do not agree), so it is left null - check the tyre-pressure label on the car. Spare wheel column: 300/3 (43.5).
  • 225/55 R19 103V XL 3PMSF: Winter (3PMSF) tyre. Front and rear printed as 200/2.3 (29). The printed cell '200/2.3 (29)' is internally inconsistent (its kPa, bar and psi values do not agree), so it is left null - check the tyre-pressure label on the car.

  • 235/50 R20 104V: Rear 'up to 3 people' column prints an unfootnoted 230/2.3 (29) above the footnoted BEV values; it cannot be assigned with confidence. The printed cell '230/2.3 (29)' is internally inconsistent (its kPa, bar and psi values do not agree), so it is left null - check the tyre-pressure label on the car.

What the handbooks don't say
  • The ed. 07/2024 (and ed. 05/2026) Grandland tyre table prints several internally inconsistent cells (230/2.3 (29), 200/2.3 (29)); those are left null. The mild-hybrid (Hybrid 48V) is not named in the table - the unfootnoted rows may be it, but the table does not say.
  • The ed. 04/2025 handbook prints no tyre-pressure table.

What the handbooks don't say
  • In the ed. 03/2022 table the plug-in hybrid (AWD/FWD) lines carry no size of their own; they sit beneath the 225/55 R18 98V M+S (NL), 102V (XL) Classe A and 102V 3PMSF (XL) rows and are recorded against those sizes as laid out.
  • Hybrid / Hybrid4 (2019-2021) pressures were 'not available at time of printing' in the ed. 09/2019 handbook; first figures read are in ed. 03/2022.
  • Year boundaries on rows follow the editions read (08/2017, 09/2019, 03/2022); intermediate editions (2018-2021) not checked, so the exact changeover dates are unknown.

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions

What tyre pressure should an Opel Grandland have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Opel lists, the normal-load pressure is 30–39 psi (2.1–2.7 bar) at the front and 30–42 psi (2.1–2.9 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does an Opel Grandland take?

Opel fitted the Grandland with 215/70 R16, 215/65 R17, 225/55 R18, 205/55 R19, 225/50 R19, 225/55 R19, 235/50 R19 and 235/55 R19, among others, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on an Opel Grandland?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.

When should I use the fully laden pressures?

When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
