How Peugeot records service data
Peugeot UK uses the Stellantis dealer management system shared with Citroën, DS, Vauxhall, Fiat, Jeep and Alfa Romeo (formerly Groupe PSA). Workshop remarks held against the VIN include recall completion, warranty repairs, software updates, and service-schedule-aligned activity at franchised UK Peugeot dealers. Coverage is digital from approximately 2010 onwards (the consolidated PSA dealer system era). The MyPeugeot app shows recent services for newer cars (2018 onwards on 208, 2008, 3008, 5008, 508, e-208, e-2008); the dealer system holds the complete record including pre-app entries. Records persist across the PSA → Stellantis transition.
Peugeot models we cover
Full UK Peugeot range is covered: 108 (until 2022), 208 (A9, P21 inc. e-208 electric), 2008 (A94, P24 inc. e-2008), 308 (T9, P5 inc. SW estate and 308 GTi), 3008 (P84 inc. Hybrid4 PHEV and new electric E-3008), 5008 (P87 inc. Hybrid), 408 (P54), 508 (R8, R83 inc. SW estate and Sport Engineered PHEV), 308 CC, Rifter (K9 inc. -e Rifter), Partner (K9 inc. -e Partner), Boxer (Y), 207, 308 (T7), older 3008 Mk1 and 5008 Mk1, 407, 607. Coverage strongest from 2010 onwards.
Peugeot-specific things to know
Three Peugeot-specific things to know: First, the PureTech 1.2 petrol (in 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008 from 2014) uses a wet timing belt running in oil — Stellantis updated the service interval to 160,900 km or 10 years. Missing this is the single biggest cause of catastrophic engine failure on PureTech-equipped Peugeots; verify the entry appears in records. Second, the BlueHDi diesel (1.5 / 1.6 / 2.0) has AdBlue dosing module issues — records should show AdBlue refills and dealer software updates. Third, the older 2.0 HDi (pre-2014) had DPF concerns on cars used predominantly for short trips; DPF-cleaning entries are reassuring.
Why check Peugeot service history before buying
Workshop-verified service compliance typically adds 8-10% to trade-in over partial-history equivalents. For e-208, e-2008 and E-3008 electric buyers verify the annual battery health checks appear. For Partner / Boxer commercial buyers, dealer history is essentially mandatory for trade resale.
