MG tyre pressures
MG MG3 tyre pressure
The tyre pressures MG prints in its handbook for each MG3 tyre size, by generation — MG3 Mk2 (Hybrid+ and 1.5 petrol) (2024 on) and MG3 Mk1 (2013–2024). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

What the handbooks don't say
- Only the MY16 handbook was read; the 2013–2015 launch handbook was not found on mg.co.uk.
- No laden pressures and no spare wheel printed.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should an MG MG3 have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes MG lists, the normal-load pressure is 31–37 psi (2.1–2.5 bar) at the front and 31–37 psi (2.1–2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does an MG MG3 take?
MG fitted the MG3 with 185/70 R14, 185/65 R15 and 195/55 R16, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on an MG MG3?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
