- Only the MY12 and MY14 handbooks were read; 2002–2011 editions (which also listed 225/70R16) were not available from a Volvo URL.

What tyre pressure should a Volvo XC90 have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Volvo lists, the normal-load pressure is ≈32–38 psi (2.2–2.6 bar) at the front and ≈32–38 psi (2.2–2.6 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Volvo XC90 take?
Volvo fitted the XC90 with 235/65 R17, 235/60 R18, 235/55 R19, 255/50 R19, 255/45 R20, 275/45 R20, 275/40 R21 and 275/35 R22, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Volvo XC90?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
