Notes from the handbooks
- 185/65R15 88T: The handbook gives several pressure sets for this size, labelled Type A/B/C...; Type A is the set marked on the vehicle's tyre pressure label (driver's door frame). Check the label to see which Type your car is. Mazda prints this as 'Up to 3 persons' (front/rear) and 'Full load' (frontLaden/rearLaden); 1 person = about 75 kg.

What the handbooks don't say
- Which pressure 'Type' applies is shown only on the car's own label; the handbook does not map Types to engines or trims.
- Editions after model year 2018 (2020 and 2023 facelifts) not read — European edition codes not found.
Mazda2 (DE) (2007–2014)

What the handbooks don't say
- No DE Mazda2 handbook found on Mazda's manual host. Sizes and pressures not recorded.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Mazda Mazda2 have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Mazda lists, the normal-load pressure is 33–38 psi (2.3–2.6 bar) at the front and 30–33 psi (2.1–2.3 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Mazda Mazda2 take?
Mazda fitted the Mazda2 with 185/65 R15 and 185/60 R16, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Mazda Mazda2?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
