Notes from the handbooks
  • 215/60R16 95V: Mazda prints this as 'Up to 3 persons' (front/rear) and 'Full load' (frontLaden/rearLaden); 1 person = about 75 kg. Winter (M+S) tyres of this size use different (higher rear) pressures printed separately in the handbook.
  • 215/60R16 99V: Mazda prints this as 'Up to 3 persons' (front/rear) and 'Full load' (frontLaden/rearLaden); 1 person = about 75 kg. This 99V load-rated size is printed in the model-year 2015 and 2016 editions only.
  • 215/50R18 92V: Mazda prints this as 'Up to 3 persons' (front/rear) and 'Full load' (frontLaden/rearLaden); 1 person = about 75 kg. Winter (M+S) tyres of this size use different (higher rear) pressures printed separately in the handbook.
What the handbooks don't say
  • 2WD/4WD is shown in the handbook only by footnote; check which drivetrain your car has.
  • The SKYACTIV-G 1.8 / 2.0 updates after model year 2018 not read.

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions

What tyre pressure should a Mazda CX-3 have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Mazda lists, the normal-load pressure is 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the front and 30–36 psi (2.1–2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does a Mazda CX-3 take?

Mazda fitted the CX-3 with 215/60 R16 and 215/50 R18, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on a Mazda CX-3?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.

When should I use the fully laden pressures?

When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
