Ford tyre pressures
Ford Ka tyre pressure
The tyre pressures Ford prints in its handbook for each Ka tyre size, by generation — Ka+ (2016–2020) and Ka Mk2 (2008–2016). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

Notes from the handbooks
- 165/70 R14: Printed in a separate "Snow Chain Wheel" table. The launch edition (variant 4293) prints this size at front 2.1 (30), rear 1.8 (26); full load 2.4 (35)/2.4 (35) bar (psi).
- 195/55R15: Printed only in the launch-edition manual (variant 4293).
What the handbooks don't say
- The KA+ tables print no high-speed variant.
Ka Mk2 (2008–2016)
| Tyre size | Front / Rear | Source | |
|---|---|---|---|
The handbook lists these sizes but prints no pressures for them — use the label on the car.
What the handbooks don't say
- No Ka Mk2 (2008-2016) handbook was found on Ford's owner-manual host (the Ka manuals there are the Brazilian/Indian Ka and the Ka+), and ford.co.uk returned no manual list. No sizes or pressures recorded.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Ford Ka have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Ford lists, the normal-load pressure is 30–33 psi (2.1–2.3 bar) at the front and 26–30 psi (1.8–2.1 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Ford Ka take?
Ford fitted the Ka with 165/70 R14, 185/60 R15 and 195/55 R15, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Ford Ka?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
