The tyre pressures Ford prints in its handbook for each Kuga tyre size, by generation — Kuga Mk3 (2019 on), Kuga Mk2 (2012–2019) and Kuga Mk1 (2008–2012). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

What the handbooks don't say
  • The handbook prints a single table for all engines (petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid) with no high-speed variant.

What the handbooks don't say
  • Handbook editions for cars built before September 2014 were not found online; the page used is linked from every later Kuga Mk2 manual.

Kuga Mk1 (2008–2012)

The handbook lists these sizes but prints no pressures for them — use the label on the car.

What the handbooks don't say
  • No Kuga Mk1 (2008-2012) handbook was found on Ford's owner-manual host: the online system starts with 2013-on manuals and ford.co.uk returned "No data for this vehicle" for the Kuga support pages. No sizes or pressures recorded.

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions

What tyre pressure should a Ford Kuga have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Ford lists, the normal-load pressure is 33–35 psi (2.3–2.4 bar) at the front and 30–35 psi (2.1–2.4 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does a Ford Kuga take?

Ford fitted the Kuga with 225/65 R17, 235/55 R17, 225/60 R18, 235/50 R18, 225/55 R19, 235/45 R19 and 245/45 R20, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on a Ford Kuga?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.

When should I use the fully laden pressures?

When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
